SPOILERS!

Why I love it and why will you?

From Facing the Giants to Fireproof, here is another movie which made me cry so much and realize many things in life, another movie with a heart.

Well, the story is not really just making marriage work but a lot more than that, it’s about having God in you, accepting Him in your life in order to understand more about your self and others, fighting temptations, being unselfish, not giving up easily and that loving is not about getting rewards and being loved back. It appeals with not just married couples but with other relations as well, may it be with your family, friends and God. Just like facing the giants, this movie is really meaningful and full of emotions.

We really need movies of this kind. Truly inspirational. Christian movies have these tendencies of hitting you hard on the head or poking you straight in the heart. There are lot of great words and lines to ponder about. I was really moved by it in the sense that my life has not been what I really wanted it to be, I have my own flaws and insecurities, but still in the end God is there to make things right, for He truly loves us even though we don’t deserve it anymore. I admit that I am not a Godly person, I'd say I'm more spiritual than religious, and it made me think that maybe I myself haven’t given God an open invitation in my life.

It is really the message that matters in this kind of films. There is nothing fancy to see, some predictable scenes, some pretty funny scenes, a bit boring at the start but with superbly great ending which will put you into tears! And great soundtrack too! I don’t get it why other people would see this film as propaganda of some sort and would mention that they could not believe that people would fall for this crap and that it is too good to be true.

I hope this movie would also have a great impact and get into the hearts of other people as well, so I encourage you to watch it, and spread the word!

(Import: November 7, 2009)
My Favorite Scenes:

This was the scene that Caleb realized a lot of things about his marriage and relationship to God. Man! his father is something, like a counselor who makes you talk and talk and make you analyze/realize your points without even saying much.

The happy ending to the story.
Love is back.

This is by far the best scene. I don't like to tell much about this, just that I didn't see it coming. I want you to see it or yourself. Now you have a hint on what to expect.

Here are some quotes from the movie:

I saw this movie two years ago and has become my favorite since then. It's a feel-good movie with load of lessons to learn for married couples. Late ko na realize its Caleb's father that cheated on the wife, not vice versa. Good review!

@littleyana. Yes it is, and you could also apply it to every other relationships. Me too, just the moment Caleb's father mentioned it. I really did not see it coming... Thanks!
